Why does everything I bake in my new baking pans burn?
I have dark and glass baking pans. When I bake in the dark pans, everything cooks faster. What's the rule of thumb between baking in dark pans, glass, and light pans?
Dark pans and glass absorb more heat so the food cooks quicker. A good rule of thumb is to lower the heat for these. If the recipe calls for 350 reduce your heat to 325 and check for doneness earlier than the recipe indicates you should.
